Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Vascular Interventional Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and experience working with cardiovascular equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions
  • Operate and maintain cardiovascular equipment
  • Prepare patients for procedures and assist during procedures
  • Monitor patients during procedures and provide care as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years of experience in radiology
  • Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology, and the purpose and operation of equipment and supplies inherent in cardiac/vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Knowledge and competency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol
  • Knowledge of EP concepts, theory, and the fluoroscopic anatomy and physiology involved in diagnostic and interventional EP procedures
  • Ability to recognize and assist in treatment of any complication arising from cardiac/vascular/EP diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Ability to set up sterile table with appropriate supplies specific to each procedure performed within the area
  • Knowledge of correct preparation and draping of patients
Education and Certifications:
  • Associates Degree in Related Field
  • Certificate of completion for Radiology Program
  • IEMA (Illinois state) License in Rad Technology
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
  • ACLS (American Heart Assoc.)
  • ARRT Registration in Radiology
