Job Responsibilities- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including handing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment for patient care.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care instructions, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment history, and dental charting in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including sterilization and disinfection of instruments and surfaces.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of dental equipment and assist with ordering supplies.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments, confirming appointments, and managing patient records.
- Work closely with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and support colleagues as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
- X-ray certification required (paid by company with stipulations).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
