Job Summary:

The School District of Lancaster is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating children with communicative disorders. This is a full-time position that will support our alternative education programs throughout the district, as well as other programs as assigned by the Director of Special Education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct screenings to determine if further assessment of communication skills are indicated for individual students.
- Assess and diagnose the communication skills of individual students in K-12, including articulation, expressive language, receptive language, cognitive-communication, AAC, pragmatic language, fluency, and/or voice.
- Write comprehensive communication evaluation reports for initial evaluations and re-evaluations for K-12 students according to District policy and state regulations.
- Participate in evaluation and re-evaluation meetings to provide families/parents with an understanding of the student's developmental history and communication needs that may interfere with learning, and share this information with school staff in accordance with confidentiality requirements in developing appropriate recommendations for programming.

Requirements:

- Master's Degree (MA or MS) in Communicative Disorders/Speech Pathology.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (preferred) or Eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year.
- PDE Instructional II Certificate for Speech and Language Impaired K-12 or Educational Specialist for Speech Therapy Certification in Pennsylvania.
