Position Overview:

  • Engages in repetitive mechanical assembly tasks that require careful and precise manual dexterity to uphold the pace and quality of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to all safety protocols and quality standards, completing all necessary training specific to the site.
  • Receives components or items for assembly and/or testing in a systematic order.
  • Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components utilizing careful hand coordination and equipment operation.
  • May construct minor variations of standard in-house products.
  • Follows explicit assembly/testing instructions, including color coding, PVC thermal welding, and thread taping.
  • Utilizes basic hand or power tools along with straightforward jigs and fixtures.
  • Records work hours in the ERP system, if applicable.
  • Completes all necessary documentation related to production activities.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to promote ongoing enhancements.
  • Interprets and comprehends simple layout and assembly diagrams.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workspace and equipment.
  • Addresses the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.

Position Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required Skills: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through work experience, educational background, or personal interests.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, hearing, and seeing consistently.
  • Must frequently walk, write, and type.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to navigate stairs.
  • Must occasionally bend, carry, reach, push, and pull.
  • Must effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • May work in both indoor and outdoor environments as necessary.
  • May experience temperatures ranging from 0 to 120 degrees.
  • May work in areas where hearing protection is necessary due to noise levels.
  • May encounter varying levels of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Employees must be proficient in operating a computer and communicating via telephone.
