Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer III to join our team at Recaro Aircraft Seating Americas, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new manufacturing processes
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events and A3 projects to drive continuous improvement
  • Interface with quality, receiving, and production teams to ensure global processes are followed and updated
  • Develop and maintain shop floor documentation and standard work instructions
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs
  • Develop and maintain requirements for new tools and fixtures orders
  • Develop and maintain specialty tools to support production flow
  • Evaluate manufacturing methods by conducting research and applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, and assembly processes
  • Assist and oversee in developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
  • Act as a First Responder for the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • 7 or more years of work-related experience in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Experienced in creating and implementing process control as related to production fixtures
  • Able to create and review engineering drawings, models, and assemblies for manufacturability
  • Advanced Root cause analysis capability using 3D clash analysis and advanced metrology equipment
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, concepts, and procedures
  • Knowledge of Aerospace materials such as metals and plastics
  • Knowledge of Aerospace requirements such as ISO9001 and AS9100
  • Experienced in GD&T
  • Experienced in various forms of rapid prototyping including 3D printing
  • Ability to independently plan and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
  • Able to analyze and interpret data
  • 5 or more years of 3D modeling experience
  • Green Belt preferred
