Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused individual to provide exceptional service to all customers and increase store sales. The successful candidate will maintain a proficient knowledge of all products and retail items, strive for complete customer satisfaction, and uphold the foundational behaviors of a retail/customer service position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Focus
    • Smile and maintain a positive attitude
    • Greet all customers upon entry to the store
    • Invite customers to join the cake club and clearly explain the benefits
    • Verify accuracy of all orders before they leave the store
    • Resolve customer issues quickly and deliver a solution to make customers happy
  • Attention to Detail
    • Complete assigned opening and closing duties daily
    • Maintain a clean and inviting store environment
    • Accurately complete all required financial management tools, including cash logs and deposit records
    • Ring and scan all orders with 100% accuracy
  • Product Management
    • Follow all FIFO guidelines for rotating product, including use of day dots on all products
    • Follow all standards for slicing and presentation
    • Inform all customers of best practices once products leave the store
    • Look for new opportunities to control unnecessary waste
  • Company Advancement
    • Be knowledgeable about all POC products
    • Ask questions if something is unclear and seek out opportunities to learn
    • Provide meaningful feedback to management and suggestions for improvement
    • Assist in training and development of newer staff members
  • Revenue Growth
    • Ask questions of customers and suggest additional retail items when appropriate
    • Maintain a fully stocked and organized retail area
    • Maintain a fresh supply of samples in the store at all times
