Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Staff Nurse at Mount Holyoke College is a key member of the healthcare team, providing primary care to students. The successful candidate will offer direct clinical care, including triage work, nursing procedures, and low acuity urgent care, in accordance with standing orders. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals and campus partners to serve the health needs and promote wellness for the student body.
Responsibilities:
* Assess and disposition student patients via phone and in face-to-face interactions
* Provide professional nursing care to students, including diagnostics and treatments per department protocols/standing orders or per clinician orders
* Monitor ill students who require onsite observation
* Consult with medical providers as needed
Requirements:
* Active licensure, liability coverage, and required certifications
* Stay current with trends and practices in College Health Nursing via continuing education and self-directed learning
* Operate within the scope of RN practice
