Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide fast, easy, and efficient service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, front end, and restrooms.
- Sales Floor Management: Ensure that all merchandise is properly labeled and that the sales floor is visually appealing and constantly available.
- Inventory Management: Assist with receiving inventory shipments, maintaining and stocking shelves, and reporting low stock levels to store management.
- Cash Handling: Perform sales and cash functions in the POS, including scanning merchandise, handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience: Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency utilizing general office equipment.
- Physical Qualifications: Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time: standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, stooping/squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching above shoulder, twisting, grasping objects, manipulating objects, and manual dexterity.
The work environment is a retail store setting, open to the public. The noise level is usually moderate, and the temperature varies throughout the store. The incumbent is required to physically interact with customers and work a flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.
