At Farrelli's Pizza / McNamara's Pub & Eatery, we are seeking a highly skilled and friendly Host to join our team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and Seat Guests: Greet guests as they arrive and seat them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Present Menus: Present menus to guests and inform them of special menu items.
- Provide Excellent Service: Treat guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
- Run the Floor Plan Board: Run the floor plan board to ensure that tables are being utilized efficiently.
- Observe Tables: Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
- Take Guest Information: Take guest information for the waiting list and quote wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
- Clean and Organize: Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host area.
- Answer Questions: Answer questions concerning the menu, to-go orders, and the restaurant.
- Fill Takeout Orders: Fill takeout orders and interact with guests coming in and as they leave to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Maintain Restrooms: Maintain restrooms throughout the shift.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members, and guests).
- Reading and Writing Skills: Must be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on company procedures.
- Visual Scanning: Must visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety: Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Availability: Must have reasonable availability, keeping in mind that most of the restaurant business is on nights and weekends.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously standing during the entire shift. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; walk; sit; stoop; bend; reach with hands and arms; wash hands and answer phones. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally encounter hazards, including slipping and tripping. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
