We are seeking an experienced Interior Trim Design Engineer to join our team at Leading Automotive Tier 1 supplier in Auburn Hills. As an integral member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complete interiors systems and components for automotive and commercial vehicles. Your expertise in interior trim design and development, combined with your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, will enable us to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers.

In this role, you will assist with new program development, providing input on design, tooling estimates, and material suggestions. You will also participate in cost reduction efforts, foster continuous improvement in performance, quality, and cost, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, you will troubleshoot using DOE process and other black belt methodologies, and participate in the creation and implementation of new design concepts.

To succeed in this position, you will need a strong educational background in engineering, preferably a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and relevant professional experience in interior related design engineering. Your expertise in CATIA V5, Team Center Engineering, and proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint will be essential in completing tasks efficiently and effectively. With a competitive salary range of $95,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience, we offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes health insurance, 401(k) plan, life insurance, disability benefits, paid holidays, and vacation time.
