About the Role

Amergis is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students' communication skills, including articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders.
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students to promote effective communication and minimize the impact of speech and language disorders.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including progress reports, activity logs, and billing information.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and professionals.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate records.
