Job Description:Pinal County, AZ is seeking a highly skilled Courtroom Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex and sensitive work in assisting customers, processing court documents and files, and performing advanced clerical and record-keeping duties in the Clerk of the Superior Court's Office.
Salary: $45,490 - $65,974 annually
Responsibilities:
- Responds to complex questions and/or resolves process issues from court personnel, attorneys, judges, and the public in person, electronically, or in the courtroom.
- Assists customers, attorneys, county, and government agencies with obtaining case information in person, electronically, or in the courtroom.
- Performs advanced clerical work on complex court filings and process that require a higher degree of accuracy and sensitivity in person, electronically or in the courtroom.
- Leads, trains and mentors clerks in performing clerical duties for area of assignment.
- Summarizes data and prepares monthly/quarterly reports within the department.
- Conducts complex process and legal research for area of assignment.
- Serves as the subject matter expert regarding requirements for accepting and processing all case type filings for area of assignment.
- Audits and ensures the proper maintenance of digital and physical files.
- Serves as the subject matter expert in receiving, processing, certifying and/or issuing court documents including protective orders, jail releases, warrants, conditions of release, confinement orders and confidential orders.
- Serves as the subject matter expert and maintains knowledge of, and adheres to, Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedure, Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure, and Local Rules for Pinal County.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three (3) years progressively responsible experience as a Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court or equivalent court service related experience.
