We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and ensuring a consistently high level of environmental hygiene and aesthetics to patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day supervision for the EVS department under the guidance of the Director and/or Manager.
- Ensure a consistently high level of environmental hygiene and aesthetics to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Oversee daily operations of the department, including regulatory standards, financial stewardship, and collaboration with other management team members.
- Train and develop a highly equipped and engaged Environmental Services Team using evidence-based techniques, process, and mission metrics (KPIs).
- Supervise staff, making sound business decisions in support of the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
- Provide an optimal environment for patient care, safety, service, and value.
- High School diploma or GED, required.
- 3 Years in Environmental Services, required.
- Preferred 1 Year in supervisory level experience in supervising staff.
- Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members and management.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Project, PM software, and EVS software systems preferred.
- Experience with typical EVS equipment/machinery.
- Demonstrates strong working knowledge of the principles of environmental infection prevention and control.
- Demonstrates strong working knowledge of OSHA, TJC, DOT, CDC Policy, and Standard Work development/implementation.
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly.
