Job Summary

As a Catering Operations Manager at Compass Group, North America, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of catering operations at the Harley-Davidson Museum. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders and coordinate with the catering team to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements, address last-minute changes, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and service-oriented manner, resolving any complaints or concerns they may have.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu items and instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions.
  • Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications and assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests and ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils, and ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
