About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and fashion-forward Sales Associate Key to join our team at Talbots. As a Sales Associate Key, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to customers, offering styling advice and product recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their preferences and tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products, and by creating a positive and engaging shopping experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on fashion trends and product knowledge, and use this expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, including fit, color, fashion, and other key features.
  • Proactively communicate store information, brand initiatives, and other pertinent information to management to enhance the customer experience.
  • Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas, including clientelling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a fashion or luxury goods environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong fashion knowledge and a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest trends.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds, and to stand for extended periods of time.
