Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Public Transportation Vehicles: Safely transport passengers on specified routes or manifests, making pick-ups and drop-offs as needed.
  • Provide Customer Service: Assist riders with loading and unloading, secure wheeled mobility devices, and communicate effectively with passengers.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Inspect vehicles daily, clean and sanitize as needed, and execute safety plans in accordance with MAPS policy.
  • Manage Fares and Accounts: Accept fares from riders, account for fares received, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate Effectively: Interact with riders, co-workers, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Prior public or passenger transit driving experience with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) is required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess and maintain a Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
