About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Building Attendant I - Concessions at the Eagan Civic Arena. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by preparing and selling concession food, hosting birthday parties and group rentals, and on-ice skating.
  • Facility Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and safe environment for all guests at the Eagan Civic Arena and surrounding grounds.
  • Cash Handling: Handle payments and operate a cash register.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory of concession supplies and products.
  • Light Maintenance: Perform light maintenance around the facility.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce Eagan Civic Arena policies and all standards put forth by OSHA and the State Health Department.
  • Event Support: Assist in any recreational program, activities, and city-wide events as assigned.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be 15 years of age or older.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, shoveling or sweeping snow, standing, sitting, talking, and hearing for extended periods of time, and working with cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work Experience: Past experience working in a paid position, operating a cash register, and handling payment transactions.
  • Food Preparation: Experience in food preparation, such as preparing meals at home, cooking classes, etc.
  • Public Interaction: Experience working with people from all different backgrounds and age groups, such as babysitting, VBS teacher, volunteer work, etc.
  • Ice Skating: Ability to ice skate.
