Role Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Pediatric ICU, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating efficient admission and discharge processes to enhance patient flow.
  • Participating in the continuous evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and improves patient outcomes.
  • Emphasizing a patient-first approach and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
  • Implementing nursing strategies to boost staff engagement and patient satisfaction.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
  • Managing staff schedules and ensuring appropriate labor management according to patient care needs.
  • Overseeing inventory control and management of medical supplies and equipment.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
  • A valid Texas RN license or a compact license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • A minimum of two years of recent experience as a PICU RN in an acute care setting.
