Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Pediatric ICU, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating efficient admission and discharge processes to enhance patient flow.
- Participating in the continuous evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and improves patient outcomes.
- Emphasizing a patient-first approach and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
- Implementing nursing strategies to boost staff engagement and patient satisfaction.
- Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
- Managing staff schedules and ensuring appropriate labor management according to patient care needs.
- Overseeing inventory control and management of medical supplies and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
- A valid Texas RN license or a compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- A minimum of two years of recent experience as a PICU RN in an acute care setting.
