Job Responsibilities:

We're seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Expert II to perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems, as well as responding to basic warranty calls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load system-level controller software
  • Perform complex commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e., sensors, actuators, etc.)
  • Complete all required commissioning documentation
  • Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
  • Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
  • Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation
  • Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
  • Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training

Requirements:

2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar fieldAt least 3-5 years of industry experience or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industryEffective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional mannerAbility to explain technical information to technical and non-technical peopleLeadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job sitePC experience required and the ability to program HVAC-related software
