About This Role">

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer Lead to join our team of innovative engineers and technologists. As a key member of our Satellite Engineering, Operations & Sustainment Support (SEOSS) Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Next Gen GEO (NGG) team, you will play a critical role in the successful development of the NGG infrastructure and system tests leading to the launch and early orbit test of the NGG space vehicle.

In this position, you will work closely with functional leads across hardware and software and act as a cybersecurity engineer lead for the OPIR NGG infrastructure team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting integration of projects across the NGG infrastructure team while interacting with hardware, software, network, and architecture skill domains
  • Supporting ground systems and configuring testing and operational support
  • Performing system analysis and interface definition and management/execution
  • Performing studies and system trades for enhanced capabilities
  • Performing systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution
  • Developing plans to on-ramp new capabilities while protecting the primary mission
  • Participating in and coordinating design reviews and technical product reviews
  • Participating in failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards

Key Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Systems Engineering process
  • Willingness to do minimal travel if required

Preferred Skills:

  • System integration experience of large-scale distributed infrastructure systems
  • Masters degree in Systems Engineering or another related technical field
  • Data center operations/system administrator experience, preferably in a DoD environment (RMF, STIG, or NISPOM)
  • Networking understanding/experience
  • Project management skills or expertise, specifically Jira/Confluence and/or agile training as a SCRUM master
  • Ability to support on-call 24X7 and off-shift for mission critical events/operation that may require extended hours or weekend supports
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
