Overview:
We are in search of part-time dietitians to become integral members of our healthcare team. One of the positions requires proficiency in both Spanish and English. The ideal candidate should possess a genuine enthusiasm for assisting patients in achieving their nutritional and lifestyle objectives while enhancing all health indicators. They should also have the expertise to identify the underlying issues from a holistic perspective.
Key Responsibilities for Registered Dietitian Candidates:
- Assess individuals with complex health issues and develop a nutrition strategy centered on whole foods while accommodating individual circumstances.
- Utilize a holistic care approach to identify root causes and create actionable plans aimed at improving the overall health of clients.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of lifestyle medicine, focusing on essential areas such as sleep, hydration, stress management, nutrition, and physical activity.
- Deliver personalized diabetes and nutrition education and counseling to patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to formulate customized care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients in managing their health conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations as necessary.
- If certified as a CDCES or pump trainer, conduct training sessions on devices such as Medtronic, Omnipod, Beta Bionics, and Tandem.
- Analyze continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) results and provide recommendations to patients and their care teams to enhance blood sugar control and HbA1c levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Education and licensure necessary to practice in Arizona, with preference for candidates holding multistate licenses.
- Experience in health coaching and patient education.
- Proficiency in patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Understanding of physiology and its connection to diabetes management.
- Ability to guide patients on appropriate nutrition for diabetes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Exhibit patience, compassion, understanding, and flexibility to meet clients where they are.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work location.
Compensation:
Starting pay is $40.00 per hour for clinical time, with a separate administrative rate for charting and team meetings.
Expected Hours:
6 to 24 hours per week.
