Role Overview
We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist to play a pivotal role in supporting the mission of the Veteran's Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). This position is integral to the facility leadership team and involves responsibilities such as:
- Pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders including legend drugs, over-the-counter medications, medical-surgical supplies, and controlled substances.
- Providing patient consultations and engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
- Overseeing supply control and directing pharmacy services to ensure efficient drug distribution.
- Enhancing patient quality of life while minimizing therapeutic risks and improving clinical outcomes.
Candidate Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following educational and experiential criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
- Licensure: A valid and unrestricted pharmacy license in the State of South Carolina or an active license from a reciprocal state.
- Experience: Proven expertise in compounding prescriptions, dispensing medications, conducting drug utilization reviews, and applying state and federal pharmacy laws.
