Role Summary: We are currently seeking Seasonal Mosquito Control Vehicle Operators to join our team.
- This role requires daily attendance at our facility to collect and return your assigned vehicle before and after your designated route.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with evening hours as needed until the assigned area is completed.
- Compensation: This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.00.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Seasonal Mosquito Control Vehicle Operator, you will be tasked with the safe and efficient operation of a mosquito control vehicle as part of a comprehensive mosquito management strategy.
- Execute thorough spraying of designated areas as directed by the supervisor.
- Utilize GPS monitoring equipment as instructed and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of all necessary data from each spraying operation on the designated log sheets.
- Familiarize yourself with all relevant chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring compliance with application guidelines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and spill response procedures at all times, utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understand and follow safe operational procedures for all equipment utilized.
- Actively support and implement the company's safety policies and initiatives.
- Adapt promptly to changes and undertake additional essential tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Possibility of obtaining state pesticide applicator licensing (training will be provided).
- Ability to lift and handle items such as chemical containers and application equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work is primarily conducted outdoors, with potential exposure to various environmental conditions and substances.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
