Job Description
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to administer therapy treatments, communicate with patients and their families, and contribute to discharge planning. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering therapy treatments according to established plans of care;
- Communicating significant changes in patient condition to supervising Physical Therapists;
- Providing input for modifying and updating treatment goals;
- Participating in discharge planning;
- Educating physicians, patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams;
- Documenting treatment progress and patient information in a timely manner;
- Using therapy devices and equipment for patient care;
- Employing various stretching and massage techniques;
- Sanitizing and cleaning therapy areas and equipment;
- Performing clerical duties such as typing, filing, and completing forms;
- Operating standard office equipment;
- Answering phones and directing calls;
- Preparing letters, memos, forms, and reports;
- Maintaining continuing education requirements to keep a valid Washington State Physical Therapy Assistant license;
- Using personal vehicle for company business (mileage reimbursement provided).

- Identifying when treatment requires Physical Therapist's skills;
- Adapting to changes in caseload, scheduling, and staffing;

- Personalizing therapy devices and manual therapy techniques;
