Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Spaulding Hospital-Boston & Cambridge (SRN, SRH, SHC). As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as bathing, toileting, and grooming, as directed by the registered nurse.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and perform other monitoring activities as required.
  • Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Document patient care activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in patient rounds and respond promptly to call lights.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized patient environment.
  • Obtain and label specimens as required.
  • Mentor and teach new nursing assistants to meet performance expectations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care is preferred.
  • Enrollment in a nursing program or possession of a valid license/certification is a plus.
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
