Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service on HVAC controls, automation, and associated low-voltage building systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair or replace elements of the controls system.
  • Adjust parameters within the Building Automation System (BAS) or modify BAS programs to resolve automation issues and satisfy customer requirements.
  • Monitor the Building Management System for fault, warning, or failure conditions, and respond by mitigating and resolving these issues.
  • Interpret building mechanical schematics, BAS Submittals & Sequences, and electrical line diagrams to resolve BAS-related issues.
  • Conduct extensive self-study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in JCI's product lines.
  • Perform audits of the controls, including networked devices, to identify potential cyber-security risks.
  • Investigate and implement energy conservation measures in the building automation systems.

Requirements:

  • 2-year technical degree in electronics or electrical engineering, instrumentation, mechatronics, industrial control, or automation engineering.
  • 2 years of industry experience in Building Automation, Process Controls, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, specifically Word, Excel, Project.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Intimately familiar with the means of operating a building with a Building Automation System.
