Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Scenic Artist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your artistic talents and contribute to the success of our theming projects.

About the Role

This role requires exceptional painting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for creating high-quality scenic elements, including theming rockwork, figures, and characters.

You will also be involved in the preparation and application of various materials, such as resins, silicone, fiberglass, bondo, wood putty, caulk, spot putty, and urethanes. Additionally, you will use a range of tools, including spray guns, airless sprayers, sanders, grinders, and other equipment specific to the trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and create scenic elements, including theming rockwork, figures, and characters
  • Prepare and apply various materials, such as resins, silicone, fiberglass, bondo, wood putty, caulk, spot putty, and urethanes
  • Use a range of tools, including spray guns, airless sprayers, sanders, grinders, and other equipment specific to the trade
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and deadlines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in theming and scenic arts
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines
Work Environment

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm. The work environment will change often, requiring consistent awareness of surroundings and potential dangers.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
