Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at The Lingenfelter Center. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in enhancing resident intentional communication by interpreting evaluations and test results, identifying speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, and determining speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to oversee direct resident management and engage in vibrant long-term care rehab, bridging the gap from acute medical care to unleash resident potential.
  • Assess speech therapy resident conditions, identifying disorders and crafting personalized treatment plans.
  • Elevate resident experiences by utilizing cutting-edge tools like audio-visual equipment and electronic voice machines.
  • Observe and adapt, ensuring therapy effectiveness and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain top-notch productivity standards, harmonizing speech therapy with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing teams.
  • Complete discharge planning, ensuring a seamless transition with home exercise programs and assistive equipment.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Minimum 2 years successful experience in area of specialization
  • ADHS Speech-Language Pathology license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
