Job Summary

Carolina Therapeutic Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in our clinics in Hickory, NC and Morganton, NC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinate daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and checkout, and patient medical record maintenance.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
  • Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by providers, including blood draws and injections.
  • Maintain lab tests and QC Protocols for lab equipment.
  • Communicate with referral sources.
  • Complete medication authorizations and medication refills.
  • Efficiently manage Electronic Medical Records.
  • Submit labs in-house and outside facilities.
  • Triage patient phone calls.
  • Routine lab medication maintenance for continuity of care.
  • Medication Reconciliation.
Requirements

· Completion of an Associate degree or Certified Medical Assistant program (preferred)

· 1 year working in a medical office setting (preferred)

· Experience working with an Electronic Health Records

· Must be at least 18 years of age, be able to read, write, understand, and follow directions.

· Must be able to pass federal and state background verification.

· Knowledge of medical terms and codes, laws, ethics, practice, and malpractice specialties.

· Analytical Skills

· Detailed-oriented precision and technical skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills
