Job Summary

The Brodhead Creek Regional Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wastewater treatment plant, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater treatment plant equipment and machinery
  • Monitor and troubleshoot plant processes to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist in the performance of major repair work, heavy labor, and routine housekeeping
  • Be knowledgeable of maintenance work related to mechanical equipment and minor electrical equipment
  • Operate all tools and equipment necessary for the completion of all WWTP-related work
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve plant goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and the public
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability and experience required
  • Plumbing experience preferred
  • Electrical experience preferred (115v/230v/460v)
  • Ability to work with computers, including Microsoft products and control systems such as SCADA
  • Good record-keeping skills
Working Conditions
  • Work hours are currently 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise directed
  • Thirty (30) minutes for lunch
  • Uniforms are provided thirty (30) days after employment and must be worn during working hours
  • May be required to work overtime, with paid compensation
  • This is a drug-free work environment
