Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients at Trident Medical Center. This position requires clinical expertise to ensure efficient care, including preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, calibrating equipment, and performing diagnostic studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate results
  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners and scintillation cameras
  • Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a physician
  • Follow radiation safety techniques for the use and disposal of radioactive materials
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Registered with the ARRT and/or NMTCB or eligible for registry
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
  • 1-3 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology
