Position Overview

As a key member of our team, the Inspector IV will be tasked with performing essential inspections, evaluations, and maintenance on various life safety product lines, including Electrical, Sprinkler, and Suppression systems. This role involves working with low voltage wiring and associated devices critical for the operation of these systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of life safety products, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Utilize low voltage equipment effectively, completing service acknowledgments with accurate coding through digital and hard copy methods.
  • Adhere to a structured inspection schedule, ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Manage inspection documentation through digital platforms, including input, retrieval, and archiving.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operational needs.
Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of five to ten years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting systems and performing minor repairs.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals.
  • Physical capability to handle equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in challenging positions, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain compliance with company driving standards.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of the Inspector Entrée Course (Electrical or Sprinkler).
  • Commitment to achieving NICET Level II certification within two years of employment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • 1-3 years of experience in low voltage electrical systems.
  • NICET certification is a plus.
