We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues with diesel engines, as well as providing preventative maintenance services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues with diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
- Assist customers with roadside services, including fuel delivery and tire changes.
- Provide preventative maintenance services, including oil changes and tire rotations.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Interact with customers and drivers from all over, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night shifts as needed.
- Obtain and maintain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
Requirements:
- Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures and environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
