Respiratory Therapist

Health First is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to adult and neonatal patients. Your expertise will include evaluating respiratory care modalities, making judgment decisions, and recommending treatment options to physicians. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring patient safety. Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain equipment in good working order and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Evaluate respiratory care modalities and make recommendations to physicians
• Provide high-quality patient care, including thorough documentation and patient education
• Ensure patient safety by following proper infection control procedures and hand washing techniques
• Initiate and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, including troubleshooting and discontinuation
• Demonstrate ability to interpret CXR for ETT, Pulmonary Artery, and IABP catheter placement, as well as basic cardiac/pulmonary complications
• Perform emergent intubation, elective oral and nasal intubations, and arterial line insertions
• Proficiency in SVO2 monitoring and calibrations
Requirements:
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Strong understanding of respiratory care modalities and critical care principles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
