Forestry Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Consulting Utility Forester to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power to our customers while promoting sustainable habitat development throughout our utility right-of-way.

• Contact property owners and public agencies to discuss pruning and removals
• Conduct tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards
• Evaluate and inspect trees for potential hazards and develop plans for removal or pruning
• Manage data and ensure accurate records are kept
• Ensure employee and public safety by enforcing on-the-job safety practices
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned

• Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance
• Species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species, as well as tree growth rates
• Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months of eligibility
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
• Proficient in map navigation skills and Microsoft Office
