Unit Overview:

The Central Sterile Department is responsible for cleaning, preparing, processing, storing, and issuing medical/surgical instruments and equipment for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, sort, and decontaminate surgical/clinic items and instrumentation
  • Inspect and package single instruments and instrument kits
  • Select appropriate sterilization method and cycle
  • Document all sterile processes accurately
  • Assign inventory accurately for case cart build process
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in sterile processing
  • CRCST or CBSPD certification
  • Proficiency in EPIC and SPM charting systems
Working Conditions:

This role requires flexibility with rotating shifts and occasional weekend on-call hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

Flexible endoscope reprocessing experience is a plus.
