About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Publishing Director to lead our team at Texas Baptists. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the development and execution of publishing strategies for GC2 Press, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  2. Lead a team of writers, artists, and designers to produce high-quality publications that meet the needs of our audience.
  3. Maintain relationships with vendors, printers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
  4. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate publishing initiatives with other organizational efforts.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as publishing or communications, and 10+ years of experience in publishing or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with biblical languages and interpretation, with a commitment to Christian principles and teachings.
  • Ability to plan, write, evaluate, and edit study materials that are educationally and biblically sound.
