Position Overview

The Travel Echo-Vascular Technician plays a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services across various healthcare settings. This position requires a professional who is adaptable, collaborative, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

Certification Requirements
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), CCI Registry, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification is mandatory.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certifications are essential.
  • BLS certification must be obtained through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the 75-mile straight line radius rule for travel assignments.
  • Exhibit teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Complete at least one 13-week travel assignment successfully.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating imaging equipment within the Echo lab.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow team members.
Qualifications
  • Must be registered with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Work Schedule
  • Varied shifts with on-call requirements, including backup call.
  • Floating between inpatient and outpatient settings may be necessary.
  • Shifts may vary to meet departmental staffing needs.
  • Availability for on-call duties, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Travelers may be required to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their assigned location.
  • Traveling pairs may not have the same schedules or shifts.
Additional Information
  • Travelers must not have been employed by the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for the past 12 months to be eligible for this position.
  • State tax obligations will be processed through your agency and reflected on your invoice, payable to the state of New Mexico.
