About this Role: We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Maplewood at Stony Hill. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.


Responsibilities:



  • Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications to residents under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN)
  • Direct Care: Provide direct care and services to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and incontinence care
  • Teaching and Wellness Counseling: Teach and counsel residents on health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness strategies
  • Health Promotion: Develop and implement health promotion programs for residents, including educational workshops and health fairs
  • Assessments: Participate in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN)
  • Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to residents and their families
  • Oversight: Oversee the work of Certified Nursing Assistants and provide training and auditing of care
  • Training: Complete monthly in-service training as required

Requirements:



  • Licensure: Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state
  • Experience: Two years of full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience
  • Skills: Ability to perform tasks that may be physically demanding, such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members
