Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Payroll Processing & Precision: The Payroll Specialist will manage biweekly payroll for multiple clients and internal entities, guaranteeing precise calculations for salaries, overtime, and deductions, while addressing payroll discrepancies.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Tax Oversight: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws, oversee tax payments, and assist in the preparation and submission of payroll tax returns.
  • Record Keeping & System Oversight: Maintain accurate payroll records, update employee information, and leverage payroll software for processing and reporting; troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
  • Client Assistance & Education: The Payroll Specialist will deliver outstanding customer service, respond to payroll-related questions, and inform clients about payroll policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ongoing Improvement & Reporting: Create payroll reports, analyze data for trends, and engage in process enhancements and payroll-related initiatives to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, handling multiple entities/industries.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000. This position is fully on-site.
