Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage the activities of the Medical Surgical Unit to meet the needs of patients and achieve strategic objectives.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Skills:
Strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal oversight are essential. The role demands resilience in high-pressure situations and the ability to respond effectively.

Certifications:
Current certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross are required, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment if not already held.

Licensure:
A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Tennessee or Multi-State is mandatory.

Experience:
A minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have management or leadership experience.
