Quality Control Inspector Job Description

Creative Composites Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet customer expectations by assuring the quality of finished parts and conformance to product requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality and conformance to product requirements.
  • Conduct receiving raw material inspections and testing to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Document control and photographic documentation of materials to maintain quality records.
  • Audit ERP lot number and work order completions for ISO compliance.
  • Provide QC data for customer submissions and identify non-conformances.
  • Lead further activities when non-conformance product/material is identified and communicate with Quality Manager and Production Supervisor.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and promoting a safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of ISO 9001 experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience using measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office, ERP experience is a plus).
  • Ability to read measurements in English and Metric.
  • Ability to count and perform simple math operations.
  • Read/interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and pleasant demeanor when interacting with co-workers.
Work Environment:

The Quality Control Inspector will work in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to fumes or fiberglass and airborne particles, forklift movements, and overhead crane usage. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands:

The Quality Control Inspector will be required to stoop, bend, climb on top and under parts, twist on a regular basis, stand for prolonged periods of time, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus, as well as the ability to see and respond to potential worksite hazards. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel:

Occasional travel is expected for this position. The employee must have a valid driver's license.
