Job Title: Breast Medical Oncologist

At St. Tammany Health System, we are committed to delivering world-class healthcare close to home. We are seeking a highly skilled Breast Medical Oncologist to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Job Summary:

As a Breast Medical Oncologist, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients with breast cancer. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities:

  • Prescribe systemic treatments and coordinate care with other physicians involved in the management of cancer care.
  • Collaborate with fellowship-trained breast surgeons, reconstructive surgeons, radiation oncologists, and radiologists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in a NAPBC accredited program with a comprehensive support team that includes a high-risk breast program, nurse navigators, integrative therapy, and multi-disciplinary clinics.
  • Practice in collaboration with the St. Tammany Cancer Center and MD Anderson partnership.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree from an ACGME accredited school.
  • Licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners.
  • Successful completion of Hematology Oncology fellowship and Board Certification/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
  • Epic experience a plus.

Physical Demands:

The ideal candidate will possess good physical health and be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time. Lifting at least 10 pounds is required, and the ability to work with a moderate level of noise is essential.
