Flight Nurse - Critical Care Specialist

At Air Methods, we are seeking a highly skilled Flight Nurse to join our team. As a Flight Nurse, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in need of medical transport. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the safe transport of patients to the appropriate medical facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality critical care, including assessment, triage, and treatment, utilizing standards and guidelines established by Air Methods Community Base Services (CBS) Medical Director(s).
  • Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize the care needed for the safe transport of the critical patient to the appropriate facility.
  • Carry out the mission and goals of Air Methods CBS, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelors degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/ local EMS regulations.
  • Pre-hospital experience preferred.
  • Flight experience is not required but is a plus.
