We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to oversee all electrical repairs not managed by the area maintenance teams. This role reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor within the Maintenance and Engineering department. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have over five years of relevant experience or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and resolves in-house high voltage electrical issues.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on both indoor and outdoor lighting systems.
- Maintains the electrical numbering system for the facility.
- Installs wiring for new equipment within the plant.
- Collaborates with area maintenance teams to assist with repairs as necessary.
- Participates in various Facilities projects as required.
- Adheres to job work instructions and training protocols as applicable.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness. They should possess strong analytical skills, be consistently punctual, and exhibit sound judgment. Efficient time management and adherence to safety and security protocols are essential. Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions and decimals, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret graphical data, are required.
Work Environment
This position involves regular exposure to working at heights, fumes, airborne particles, and potential electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and varying outdoor weather conditions is expected. The noise level can vary from moderate in office settings to loud in production areas. The production facilities are not climate-controlled, with temperatures often reaching 100 degrees in summer and dropping below 40 degrees in winter. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The role requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
