Job Summary

The Med/Surg Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care under the direction of the Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse. This position requires a strong focus on safety, security, and patient wellness, with a commitment to ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver basic personal care to patients, prioritizing their needs and comfort.
  • Work collaboratively with the patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in hospital safety practices and procedures, maintaining a high level of familiarity with clinical protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Unencumbered LNA license with the State of Vermont.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
Benefits

This position is eligible for select benefits, including Life and Disability Insurance, a 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time-off plans. The University of Vermont Health Network offers a competitive compensation package, with a starting hourly rate of $17.00 per hour. Additionally, this role is eligible for employment bonuses, with up to $7,500 available for this position. The bonus is paid in three installments, subject to applicable taxes, and requires a commitment to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for two years.

Work Schedule

This position is 36 hours a week, with 12 hour night/evening shifts. The University of Vermont Health Network values work-life balance and offers flexible scheduling to support the needs of our employees.
