Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Aide will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing requested administrative and clinical duties. This role will involve greeting patients, working alongside physical therapists and assistants, and conducting tasks in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, assist with administration of treatments, and provide routine care
  • Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients in practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staff
  • Provide routine treatments, such as hot/cold packs, and other modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation
  • Clean work areas and equipment after treatment, wash linens, and maintain linen cabinets
  • Assist with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork and charts
  • Help manage non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic and may order inventory
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to clearly document projects and manage production
  • Attention to detail and time management skills required
  • Patient/Client Satisfaction: Providing care/service that exceeds expectations
  • Energetic and a team player, with ability to demonstrate compassion toward patients
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred
Language and Physical Demands
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting
Work Environment
  • Internal office
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low
