Cross Country Allied is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to fill a local contract position in Clinton, Maryland. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain cardiopulmonary therapy equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide respiratory expertise and support.
- Administer aerosol-based medications as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Analyze blood samples to determine oxygen and gas levels, and manage life support mechanical ventilation systems.
- Assess vital signs and document clinical findings to inform patient care decisions.
- Perform patient examinations, stress tests, and other diagnostic procedures to evaluate lung capacity and function.
- Provide patient education on various pulmonary therapies, including asthma, COPD, and smoking cessation.
- Completion of an approved respiratory therapy program.
- RRT Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or CRT certification with the ability to obtain RRT within 6 months.
- Eligibility to sit for RRT exam at time of hire.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
