Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist will:

  • Evaluate: Assess and implement tailored treatment programs for patients.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Manage Caseload: Maintain a full caseload efficiently on a daily basis.
  • Document: Ensure timely and consistent completion of non-clinical tasks.
  • Engage in Professional Development: Participate actively in ongoing professional growth.
  • Function as a Team Member: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology program or equivalent, holding an M.S. degree.

Experience: A minimum of three years of clinical experience is required.

Licensure: Current licensure in speech-language pathology in Connecticut or demonstrated eligibility is necessary. All newly hired staff must possess current BLS certification or obtain it within one month of employment.

Special Skills: Active membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and operating specialized equipment. The work environment may include exposure to chemicals and requires the ability to exert varying levels of force to move objects or assist patients.

Work Schedule

This position is part-time, with responsibilities primarily during daytime hours.
