POSITION SUMMARY

The Fill Plant Operator plays a crucial role in our operations by managing the filling and handling of gas cylinders under the guidance of the Gas Plant Manager. This position also encompasses additional responsibilities such as cylinder maintenance, loading and unloading of transport vehicles, and performing various administrative tasks as needed. The standard working hours for this role are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately fill gas cylinders following established procedures and ensuring quality control.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
  • Conduct safety inspections of cylinders prior to filling.
  • Complete necessary documentation for cylinder filling, particularly for food-grade and medical gases.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Keep the work environment clean and organized.
  • Fulfill all required paperwork as mandated by the company.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in required training sessions.
  • Support fellow team members and undertake other related tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills are necessary.
  • Self-motivation is essential for success in this role.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to handle heavy cylinders and materials safely.
  • Experience working with hazardous substances.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting and rolling of cylinders.
  • Regular bending and twisting motions required.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and loud noise levels.
